Sanibel and Captiva Islands have plenty of exciting things going on, but it can be tough finding out about them. There's a lot going on in your neighborhood this month, especially at the beaches and outdoors, in general.

This weekend, the 17th annual "A Peek at the Unique" event takes place at The Sanibel Community Church. A sought-after day out for islanders, seasonal residents and visitors, the “Peek” has invariably sold out every year. You can also check out the annual Octifest on the Beach event, presented by Sanibel Sea School. You'll enjoy sunset views, dinner, drinks, stargazing, a live and silent auction, and a few fun surprises.

Later in the month, get your drink on at a few fun events, like The Community House Sanibel Community Association's South Comfort on Sanibel dinner and dancing event, or Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation's Beer in the Bushes concert event.
