Friday

I think I felt the earth move this morning as the world breathed a collective sigh of relief. Good riddance, 2020. Welcome, New Year.

Tuesday

Quite a bit of wind today as a January cold front approaches. High of 70 maybe? Not to rub it in or anything for those of you with SNOW.

Wednesday

I saw a slightly tattered blow-up Santa hanging on for dear life in the strong breeze. He must know his time is done until next year.

Friday

Still windy! One thing you do not do in a strong wind? Pickleball. I tried. It was not pretty.

Monday

Business took me to downtown Fort Myers today. So happy to see that little coffee shop is still thriving—on the same block as Starbucks, no less. Yummy chai latte.

Saturday

One of the few upsides of the pandemic—there are more outdoor seating options at restaurants these days. Had a tasty meal under the stars last night at one of my fave island eateries.

Thursday

A socially distanced girls’ night out on the beach this evening. And as a bonus for our good behavior? We got to see the full moon rising over the water. Bellissimo!

Wednesday

KC friends just arrived for a monthlong stay on Pine Island. I see some boating in our near future.

Sunday

True that. Boating to Cayo Costa with B & D for some shell collecting this morning. Then on to North Cap for a waterside lunch. Perfect day.

Monday

Oops! Did I forget sunscreen yesterday? I’m feeling a little pink around the edges.

Saturday

M just suggested, spur of the moment, a hike through Fakahatchee Strand. So, off we go in search of the elusive ghost orchid.

Thursday

An uptick in traffic this week. Those road-ready golf carts are all the rage, but crawling along behind one puts me in a bit of a rage. Just breathe.

Friday

There’s no better relaxation therapy than a little digging in the dirt. My garden could use some lovin’.

Saturday

How is it I’ve lived here forever and never been to the garden center in Estero? What heaven for green thumbs!

Sunday

Yoga on the front porch this morning got me ready to face the day—and all the plants I bought yesterday that now need to go in the ground.
