When the owners first visited Sanibel, that "wow-factor" was resounding from the moment they arrived, but something was missing.
"In searching for home furnishings, we were unable to find our vision for our own island home," the website says. "Even with traveling back and forth across the causeway, the furniture we found was over-scaled and just 'not right.' We could not find that splash of color that we were looking for.
"We were looking for sunny yellows, seaside blues, sunset corals, and luscious greens. All the colors that kept us coming back to Sanibel could be found in nature but not in a home store. The same thing happened with lamps and decorative accessories."
Time and ease, the website says, is a chief concern for many of the store's clients; however, the owners believe home decorating should be a fun and easy experience. Traveling back and forth over the causeway can add stress. For island residents, Sanibel Home Furnishings offers a convenient place to shop for home furnishings and decor.
Keeping with color, comfort, and style, the store has a vast array of casual and formal furniture, including materials of mahogany, yew, cherry, walnut, alder, relaxed bamboo, and cane, coming from some of the industry's top manufacturers.
