If you enjoy ‘dancing in the streets,’ the Fort Myers Music Walk is the place you want to be on the third Friday of every month from 6 pm to 10 pm.

“From solo musicians to DJs, duets and full bands, music fills the air with all genres’ music to sway, step, spin, twirl and bob to on the historic streets of downtown Fort Myers,” says President & CEO River District Alliance, Lisa Sbuttoni.

The free event showcases various talent levels and musical varieties and is fun for all ages.   The next one takes place on September 20, 2024. Find out more at myriverdistrict.com.

Other great places to check out great music are the Buckingham Blues Bar, famous for its full calendar of live blues music, delicious food, and drinks. Or, if you prefer western music, try The Ranch Concert Hall & Saloon, which has regular live musical events, line dance lessons, drink specials, and a light food menu. Art lovers should also head to Downtown Fort Myers to check out the art of pottery, batik, tile, paint, photography, and much more. The experience comes alive during the Art Walk held on the First Friday of each month from 5 pm to 9 pm. The next Art Walk is on September 6, 2024.

“Emerging and established artists line the streets of downtown Fort Myers selling and demonstrating their art forms.  Performance artists and musicians join in on the fun and add to the vibrancy and charm of our beautiful downtown.  You never know who or what you will see, but you always be amazed,” says Sbuttoni.
