Seagrass - There are Flowers Under the Sea?
The estuaries of Southwest Florida support rich seagrass communities. These plants are most closely related to flowering land plants and are vital to the survival of many marine critters, from nearly microscopic shrimp to enormous fish. We learn about seagrass beds, and explore them by foot and with mask and snorkel to see first-hand some of their inhabitants.
