Super Bowl champion quarterback and sports commentator Joe Theismann will speak at NAMI Collier County’s “Hope Shines Event: Touchdown for Mental Wellness” at 5 p.m. March 14, 2025 at Arthrex in Naples. Theismann, a 15-year NFL veteran, guided the Washington Redskins to consecutive Super Bowls, including a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII in 1983 that earned him the league’s Most Valuable Player award. Event proceeds will support NAMI’s Children’s Mental Health Program also known as, Health Under Guided Systems (HUGS), which screens, assesses and educates children ages 2 months to 18 years old experiencing developmental, social, emotional or behavioral difficulties. The event also will help support the Sarah Ann Life Skills & Support Program, which includes structured activities and occupational training and other mental wellness programs offered free to the community.
