Centennial Celebration: 100 Years of Spring Training

The high-energy spirit of baseball is spreading to our site with lots of fun things in celebration of 100 years of Spring Training! Fans will be able to explore the exhibit “Fanatics: Thomas Edison, Connie Mack and Spring Training in Fort Myers” and enjoy family-friendly activities and baseball trivia, and take photos with a local mascot. The Red Sox Showcase presented by L.L. Bean will be on site, along with food trucks offering refreshments available for purchase. Stop by our Edison Ford table to enter a free drawing and grab your chance to win baseball tickets and other fabulous prizes. Fort Myers Mayor Kevin Anderson will make an official proclamation of “Spring Training Day in Fort Myers” to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first team arriving in town for spring training in 1925. Admission to the baseball exhibit inside the Edison Ford museum and parking are free for this event (the riverside estates will not be open during this event). Save the date; more details to follow.
